Tip #1 - Farmer's Markets

You can usually find a farmer's market locally in the summer time and, if you are a city dweller, you can find them operating all year. You're going to find the best seasonal deals and you'll often come upon amazing items at bargain prices that are always welcome.

If you're not sure where to look for a farmer's market, more often than not, one in four neighbors will know.

Tip #2 - Grocery Store Savings

You can find bargains on healthier choices if you're willing to go to a store other than your favorite to take advantage of the best budget conscious bargains. With regular shopping, it will become obvious that each store consistently has better pricing on certain items, but you must be watchful of the too good to pass up sales, collect all coupon fliers from your newspapers, a mailing list or the stores, themselves.

Tip #3 - Buy Vegetables and Fruit

You are only fooling yourself, if you think you are not paying for convenience. Prepackaged fruit and vegetables aren't as good for you, being able to choose and know exactly what healthy ingredient you are adding to your new healthy eating diet. You'll get more nutritional benefit you're looking for, simply by selecting, preparing and washing your own produce.

Tip #4 - Swear Never To Buy A Packaged Dinner Again

Homemade soup is healthier than canned soup, no kidding, is much, much more the example to follow, when healthy eating is your goal. Sitting on a shelf, collecting dust kind of food is purposely made to last for sometimes years on end, thus it should be obvious, that such unhealthy food is stuffed to the gills with salt, sugar, extra calories, and you don't want to know about all the ingredients you don't know how to pronounce, let alone want to eat - yuck! A cookbook bought to have on hand for years may have a learning curve, but the money you'll save in the first month will banish any doubts you may have now. Healthy eating is within your reach and the bonus is you can do it while saving time, money and possibly yourself, health-wise. It is really as simple as if healthy eating is your pending resolution, eating healthier is all that is needed.
