Upon a Time

by Eddie Walchem

There once was a time, maybe not too long ago, where we didn't have all of the technological luxuries that we enjoy today. Nobody could have envisioned listening to music on an iPod Nano. It would have been hard for anyone to picture a home video game system as awesome as the Microsoft Xbox 360. Could anyone have envisioned a big video camera transforming into a small hand held digital camcorder? When you look at the past 20 years, it's amazing to think of all the technological advances that have been made. Now, you can do into any store or Refurbished Electronics dealer and find a whole range of amazing electronic items.

Do you think you can imagine not having your Sony Playstation Portable to bring with you wherever you go? Why not imagine not having your iPod Nano with you? They could only listen to songs on cassette tapes, vinyl records, or heaven forbid, the old classic 8-track player. And as for taking songs with them, that was out of the question. The Apple iPod Nano is the epitome of the portable music player, even though the first Walkman wasn't introduced until 1980.

It's interesting to wonder what people did for fun and entertainment many years ago. Back then, they went to the movies, while today, you can download them on your Sony PSP. They may have just goofed off, which we can all do today and share with the whole world by using a digital camcorder. And why sit at home listening to music when you can enjoy your tunes on the go with an Apple iPod Nano? No matter what people did for fun and entertainment in the past, we can now do it bigger, better, louder and faster with a whole array of electronics at our disposal.
