Weddings For The Financial Benefits Of Being Married
Weddings are a common occurrence in any family. We have all been to the weddings of family members and even friends. There is nothing like the personal romantic weddings of the days of yore when people were making strong personal commitments to each other. Nowadays, unfortunately we are finding more and more that the marriage ceremony is becoming less romance related due to the fact that people are getting married for so many different reasons now without love and romance being the major reason.
A common reason why people can't help getting married today is for the financial benefits of being married. In a number of countries there are some additional benefits for the married ones particularly in the housing market. E.g., the fact of being able to buy a better or larger house based on two earnings makes repayments quite easier to get done. But buying a house together will never replace the true feeling of love and wishing to spend a life together building a real home. The house can never be a real home if that is missing.
There may be some pension and health care benefits available to a spouse that are not available to couples living together. When a couple gets married, they can then access the other's medical benefits. However, love and romance are needed for a relationship, not just health benefits.
I have even seen some couples, who are young students, who for the purpose of getting assessed as being independent from their parents, have decided to marry. This ensures that the parents need not have to contribute to their children's college fees etc. (There are many cases where the parents are not willing to contribute even though they have been assessed by the state as being able to contribute and thereby reduce any student grants.) In such cases, marriage is brought forward too soon and rushed without enough thought or preparation for the life long committment for the meaning of marriage relationship.
The romance is not always totally lost when it all falls down, however. Still, many couples are able to ensure that the flame that is lit during their marriage ceremony will last for ever and ever and will be enflamed in their relationship. Only the couples which did hard work to build these romantic relationships both before and after their marriage are then able to reinforce their flame even in the hard times of their own relationship as well.
By ensuring that you are getting married for the right reasons you will ensure that you are going to take the steps necessary to encourage a healthy relationship that will last through the test of time. Getting married should never be just a business proposition and it should not be treated as such.
Without a romantic marriage ceremony a house can never be a home. One of the reasons why people are rushing to get married today is for the financial benefits of being married. If you get married this allows your spouse to get access to your medical benefits. Whilst not a bad reason in itself to get married romance and love really need to be present as well. Only the couples who did the hard work to build their romantic relationships both before and after their romantic weddings are able to reinforce their flame even in the hard times of their own relationship as well.
